Clothing is a necessity of life and it not only provides public normality but also safety, security and warmth.  Unfortunately, there are many people in the US and around the world that do not have the means to provide themselves with this fundamental security.  They are left with few options and often go without.  This can affect the future of a child’s life physically, mentally and spiritually.  There are many services in operation that provide clothing for families in need and although the fare is small, with that clothing comes a premium.

Often, the people who receive these articles of clothing are not even the ones in need.  Our services will supply the truly needy with these fundamental pieces of safety and security, and the most important aspect of our mission is that it is completely free to the end user, the ones in need.  This is the major factor that separates us from others, and this is also where the efforts of us all combine to make the dream come true.

I have had the unique opportunity to spread a story about coming from nothing but love and needing support from the hearts of others. I have also had the opportunity to give back by creating Revolving Threads and helping you all give to those who are less fortunate, as well as creating fun ways for you to do so. Revolving Threads is sustained solely by generating a large network of people interested in helping the fundamental cause. What may mean nothing to some can mean the world to others.

For those of you who are learning about Revolving Threads for the first time, it is a nonprofit organization that accepts donated clothing, shoes and books from various donors and gives them directly to families in dire need who simply cannot afford to shop at thrift stores. Although thrift stores serve a noble cause, when you donate your clothing to them, people such as yourself or even more financially stable can turn around and purchase these articles of clothing. By making clothing donations to Revolving Threads, your gifts go directly from your hands to the hands of the less fortunate. By making monetary donations, you are giving thousands of families an opportunity that they may not otherwise have had; the opportunity to obtain some of the most fundamental necessities of life and security.  When I was a child growing up back in Flint Michigan, my single mother had a stroke.  We came to appreciate the kindness of so many hearts that donated food to help us get by to help through her recovery. At a young age, this sparked a now long awaited interest in giving back in whatever way I could. Now, I can finally help others as well as give you all a direct path to helping them in the process.
